Crucial Market Update
In this week’s episode, we bring you an important market update as Russia’s war fears cause more uncertainty in both the crypto market and other financial markets. Both Bitcoin and the SMP 500 are down this week which could take a while to recover whilst the events in Russia and Ukraine unfold. One positive is that all the indicators suggest Bitcoin is oversold and due a large bounce in the future, although it’s impossible to ignore the macro factors that are causing traders to panic sell.
The Bizarre Bitfinex Hack
We also discuss this week’s major news story where the culprits of the famous 2016 Bitfinex hack have finally been caught. A seemingly normal couple, who now have $4.5 billion worth of Bitcoin from the hack have been arrested after police found the private keys to the lost Bitcoin. The couple included Heather Morgan, a consultant and TikTok rapper and Ilya Lichtenstein who seemed to be living normal lives although it’s safe to say the arrest proved to ve very strange after police found a hallowed out book with a USB stick labelled ‘private keys’ in their house… We talk more about this during the episode and why it is an important reminder to manage your own security.
